Skoolix App: actionable tool for easier communication between teachers & students
During the COVID-19 pandemic, the learning system transitioned to a distant format. It was both challenging and rewarding to work on a project that directly impacted people's lives each day, considering the constant need for user feedback and technical constraints. Well, I jumped ahead a bit; before introducing Skoolix, let’s start.

The Objective
Refocusing Skoolix: From a social media communication set to automated complete EMS tool by starting with the online quizzes
The challenge
How can students and teachers conduct exercises during the pandemic?
School and students struggle to consistently apply communication on their daily routine during pandemic COVID, leading to habits like rambling
2- understand users / user personas
3-Flow and storyboard:
Both teachers and students understood the processes for creating quizzes and submitting exercises or quizzes. However, due to the limitations of user interviews during the pandemic, where I only had access to teachers, I created storyboard to ensure alignment between the teacher's quiz creation flow and the student's submission flow. this helped identitfy pain points and mimic the same scenario.
4- Teacher Wireframe
Create assignment and define grade
From name to choose batch and class to the due and available date
Finish any time, Alert 10 min before the end of time
Bank of questions easier for the teacher , Create new question which added to the bank
View submissions, Check free answers
How teacher can see quiz submissions, Add grade, check answers, and add the right answer
5- student Wireframe
Alert for one time start
For the timer purpose no stop or resume so it is one time trial
Create Questions and bank of questions
Create new question which will be automatically added to the bank
Overall view/ with points, Instant results / free text to be pending
With a bottom sheet, student can have an overview, If teacher enabled grades after submit
A prototype was developed based on the new structure. The prototype was tested to assess its usability and gather feedback.
Final Design
We launched exercise features associated with Skoolix among others.
